Sullivan said that "Form ever follows function". Such a small, simple statement with such immense meaning for the world of design. The designing and building of a form connects the form with living individuals, thus, simple in its construction, it has limitless interpretations.
Design begins by recognizing a need, seeing a problem seeking a solution. “One could describe design as a plan for arranging elements to accomplish a particular purpose.” Designing takes one on a journey of discovery. It is driven by vision, passion and determination. Design is magical, but it is not magic.
Bad design is everywhere, because good design is unobtrusive and invisible. Good design is innovative, inspiring, useful, effective, reflects the user's needs and is aesthetically pleasing. Good design creates a response, provokes memories and builds new memories. Good design is easy to traverse and induces people to linger and absorb every detail. Good design is good for business and is for everyone.
